Hardcover first edition and first trade edition. (Preceded by the signed and numbered Phantasia limited edition.) One of 2,000 trade copies. Not a book club, remainder or ex-library copy. Except for small amount of crinkling at top and bottom corners of the dustjacket, this copy is straight, unmarked and very fine (unread) condition in very fine dustjacket. Difficult to find Phantasia titles in very fine condition. The sixth book in De Camp's campy but very fun Krishna series. The series is both SF and Fantasy (starfarers marooned on a medieval world are exploited technically and sexually by the savvy natives), and de Camp took time in this series to poke fun at the SF/Fantasy stereotypes. We'll miss him. Phantasia Press was the premier specialty publisher for SF and Fantasy titles in the 1980's, and these finely crafted editions are very collectible, and theirs titles included Asimov's Robots of Dawn, Brin's Startide Rising, Ellison's Medea, and Gibson's Neuromancer. Excellent full color, wrap-around dustjacket illustration by Victoria Poyser.
